A Report on Animal Welfare in the District of Columbia
The George Washington University Law School Animal Welfare Project released a report on the status of animals and animal welfare laws in the District of Columbia on February 11. The group is composed of two faculty and 50 students devoted to improving animal welfare. The report makes recommendations for animal welfare improvements in the District including mandatory spay/neuter laws, improved animal cruelty laws, and the creation of a Mayor’s Task Force on Animal Welfare.
